Oh the holidays!

We have had a wonderful holiday season so far. We have made homemade candies, decorated, done a service project, and so much more. My brother is getting married dec 20 in Las Vegas but also having a reception at my parents home in January. My mom and I have been decorating extra fancy for the reception and man it's a lot of work.... and way to expensive haha We are finishing up our last week of school and getting ready for finals. Each semester it gets harder during finals week but good news... We graduate next semester! Chase has been the best trooper tho, he works 25 hrs a week at an insurance brokerage, has 16 credit hrs at school, and is still the best dad and husband. I admire his hard work and dedication a lot. This next year is bringing lots of life changes for us and I am very excited and scared haha Chase and I will graduate in April, have a baby in May, we will be moving to davis county in may, Chase will start his Masters of Accounting in May, Gracie will turn two in July, Chase will be graduating with his Masters in December and Starting his awesome new job in January 1. We actually went to his Future jobs christmas party Friday and of course it was amazing. Tanner has been so awesome to us since Chase signed his formal offer and it makes him even more excited to start.

Gracie- Turned 17 months and the talking and understanding a lott. She now can do the "If your happy and you know it" song, say the word ball (to anything round hah), she understands anything you tell her, and is a little sassy pants. She loves to dance, which is an understatement. You should see her go haha she has a whole routine. Her favorite thing is to play outside still and be with other kids. I adore her more and more every day.

Baby #2- Still growing. haha The baby looks healthy but will not uncross his/her legs. We go in on Dec 23 to find out the gender and other info about the baby so since it's so close to Christmas I'm going to have chase surprise me on christmas morning and tell me what the gender is. I still feel really tired with this baby even though I'm in the second trimester, which is a bummer but I think a lot of it is chasing around Gracie and school. I'm kind of showing, in fact I show a lot at night after I've eaten haha but I've actually lost a few pounds thus far. I am eating really healthy right now, mainly because I can't stand the thought of meat and heavy foods make me feel sick, on top of that I have been very motivated to work out so I hope I can keep on this track and be healthy until May!

she is a total girly girl. she LOVES shoes

Provo river trial walk!

She can climb on anything now so when we went downtown to see lights and shop the first thing she did was look for a couch to sit on!

Loves her strawberries!

I'm Thankful

As of lately we have been doing the same old same old. This week has been school break but Chase has still been working so Gracie and I have been doing some fun activities and going more places than usual. I must say we love this time of year and we put our Christmas tree up about a week ago. We have stopped watching TV at night and focusing on Gracie and her development. We have been baking for our neighbors, teaching her new body parts, and helping her with words. We have felt the spirit so strong as we make an effort to get closer to our little one. I am so thankful for Chase and his hard work. I am so thankful to be married to my best friend and to share my life with him. He is the most patient, kind, loving, Christ like person I know. Even on days he has work and school all day he comes home ready help. Asking if he can help with dinner or changing Gracie's diaper, and at the end of the night he always always always helps me clean so I can wake up to a clean house. I am thankful to be a mother to two wonderful babies. I think about where we are now and I almost (notice almost) wish I would've gotten pregnant faster so Gracie could have sibling. I love seeing her grow and saying words. As a mother you can't help but feel proud. I am so very proud to be her mom and I think she is the brightest light bulb around. I am thankful for my Savior and Heavenly Father. I would be nothing without them. There is no true happiness in my life without the gospel of Jesus Christ, As I pray, read my scriptures, visit teach, and serve my family I feel the pure love of Christ. I am so thankful to have a home filled with the spirit that allows us to be truly happy. I am thankful for this season!

It snowed! She made me sit in front of the window with her for thirty minutes to watch it haha

her favorite thing? SMOOTHIES!

16 months of pure lovin

Gracie is now 16 months! I honestly can't believe it. She is the most wonderful little girl. She has started repeating things we say we is kinda weird honestly. It's strange to hear her say "big people" words, like "hot" and "ice". She is still saying no, stop, yes, bye, hi, grandma, daddy, mommy, and she said today "side" when we walked outside (she loves outside more than anything right now). We have a playground right across from our condo and every time she see's it she points and tries jumping out of our arms to run there. We recently had probably the best Halloween we have had .... well ever! Gracie was "thing 1" and my sister had a matching outfit that said "thing aunt". Chase was Cat in the Hat and I was the little gold fish that tries to tell the kids not to be naughty while their mom is gone haha. I made some yummy caramel apples and my mom made her famous chili. We took Gracie trick-or-treating where she blew kisses to every single person who put candy in her bag. She doesn't really like sugar but just chewed on the outside of her candy the rest of the night (she is getting her last few teeth). Gracie loves to play pretend right now, she has some fake food and will cook me something in our pans and make me eat it! When I make dinner she has to be involved. She loves to stir sauces and bake goodies. We made some yummy pumpkin muffins and Gracie learned how to work the Kitchen Aid and stir flour in a bowl.

For those who are wondering, I am 12 weeks! I have felt amazing this pregnancy, compared to miss Gracie, and the bit of yucky I have felt is starting to go away as the second trimester is coming! We see the baby tomorrow and we couldn't be more excited! At our next appointment we will know the gender of this little one and our bet is ..... BOY! We instantly agreed on Gracie's name but this boy name thing is kind of hard. Chase is set on Crew Alexander (so they will have the same initials) and I think I like it but we shall see.

Sometimes we go to church with my parents and it's wonderful because my dad takes her so we can attend our meetings.

Tanner is the accounting firm Chase will be working with. They more than spoil us with their offer but one day we came home to a big package full of gifts at our door! I think we are going to like working for them :)

it's not to cold for chalk right?

October, Oh My!

We have been to two pumpkin patches this October. We have been having so much fun and spending some much needed family time. Gracie is excited for a brother or sister and is constantly carrying her baby around and kissing my stomach. It's weird how much a 16 month old can understand. I finished making Gracie's costume last night and can't wait to throw it on her. I've been feeling better than better this pregnancy. I haven't thrown up once and only get kinda nauseous. Gracie caught a virus so I haven't been going to school (that's my excuse at least) but I did apply for graduation this week! YAY! We have had way to busy weekends and are ready for a break so this weekend we are carving pumpkins, going to a friends Halloween party, and taking some much needed naps. I just want to say sorry to anyone who wasn't personally told that we were pregnant. I told my family through DM on  instagram (which I don't know if everyone saw) but because it's still pretty early we didn't plan on telling people. We saw the little heartbeat a few weeks ago so it's okay that it kind slipped out and we are excited for our journey ahead.

We switched to a Toddler bed :) Next step queen size!

We went to get Ice Cream but she just wanted to people watch

first set of piggys

she loves pumpkins. This is the third one for the fall season

Gracie caught a yucky virus so we slept A LOT

We have to carry a baby everywhere now

Gracie is 15 months!

I should probably blog more cause Gracie is a sponge and is growing faster than you can imagine. She recently turned 15 months and the doctor was still blown away at how fast she is developing. Gracie sat by herself at four months, crawled at five months, and started walking at nine months. She currently says aunt Mia's name, quacks like a duck, sings ashes ashes (ring around the Rosie's), points and yells "that that" for something she needs, and she can now climb up on just about anything so we are currently transitioning into a toddler bed for safety. She is still a tiny monkey and wears 6-12 or 9-12 month clothes. Which is great for me because things fit her for forever. She has this almost white blonde hair and this natural tan skin that everyone always comments on. She is the sweetest little girl we know and is always willing to give kisses. The first thing she does when she sees a baby or kid is she runs up to them hugs and gives a kiss. Most kids are scared by it but really it's adorable.

We also have lots of big things coming up in our family! My brother leaves on his mission to Thailand Wednesday! I lived in Thailand for about six months just before we got married so chase and I are planning to go back when he is ready to come home. We are beyond excited! We also are so excited because chase has accepted his formal offer to work at the largest accounting firm in utah! We thought the recruiting process would be more grueling but chase didn't even need an interview. They met him at three events and told him they wanted him immediately. His 4.0 and handsomeness  I'm sure had a lot to do with it. ;) the firm is located in downtown salt lake and so we will be looking for a home in Davis county after graduation.

I must say we are busy as can be but our lives are moving in the direction we've always wanted. We feel so blessed to have received this job offer right where we want to live by grandparents and family. Stayed tuned for more surprises in the next few weeks!
