bye summa!

We just got back from a fun trip in Idaho to see my brother and sister in-law. They have a daughter close to Gracie's age so it was really fun to see them play. When we were leaving they were sobbing haha it was so cute and actually really sad. We went to bear world, ate yummy ice cream, and played in the back yard.

Hadlie is now three months! The day before she turned three months she started rolling tummy to back. Now there is no such thing as tummy time. haha She is starting to eat more frequently and still sleeps through the night. She is so patient with Gracie, Gracie is always up in her grill. She smiles anytime she gets a glance of someone and she is making tons and tons of cute baby noises. She refuses to nurse so this past week i stopped torching her and put her on formula. I'm sad but I'm coming to terms with it.

We got our family pictures back and I cried a little haha it's so fun to see our little family growing. We have been enjoying having Chase home at night and his break from school. He starts his last semester in one week and then he is done December third! We are so excited!! He did really well this past semester and we are so so proud of him.

Hadlie was bless by Chase on July 10 2015, we had a ton of family here and it was the sweetest blessing. The spirit was so strong and Hadlie is a special little spirit straight from our heavenly father. We adore her and I appreciate Chase and his worthiness.

The Girls are Growing

Today Gracie's cute swim teacher told me she looked at my blog and it was so cute, best compliment I've ever received.... literally. haha I feel slightly like a weirdo blogging haha. But there is so much I want to remember about our lives right now.

Worst experience with two kids thus far

So my little sister had a friend over and Gracie kept following them around so I figured I would take her to get a FIZ. Fiz is this little drink store that sales fun drinks and yummy cookies. So I listened to Gracie yell cookie as I got Hadlie in her car seat and loaded into the car. We pulled up to the window and there were a few cars in front of us. All of the sudden Hadlie started screaming, I looked at the time and realized it was time for her to eat. I tried to lean over the seat, in the MOST uncomfortable position, to give her her binky. It wasn't working and she really, really started crying. Like her face was turning colors. Realizing that I'm highly unrealstic and wore a dress today I pulled into the parking lot, got her out, got back in the car, lifted my dress up to my neck, and started nursing my child. So here I am sitting in my garments nursing in the Fiz parking lot. It's okay though, the girl was super sweet and could tell I was clearly distressed as we pulled up to the window and gave Gracie a free cookie, mainly because I had rolled down Gracie's window and she was yelling cookie at the girl haha

Update on Hadlie

Hadlie is so stinking cute. She is starting to gain weight and will be two months on Friday. She is now growing out of newborn clothes but can still wear them. She is starting to loose some hair but still has dark brown hair left. She loves grandma and gracie a lot. She loves her binky and this blanket my mom made her. She only wakes up once a night in a 12 hour period. She loves when I pump breast milk and give her a bottle so we are trying to limit that. She is allergic to dairy just like Gracie and has acid reflex just like Gracie. She doesn't spit up ever but you can tell her stomach is uncomfortable after eating--due to the acid reflux. She still sleep a lot during the day and eats every 3 hours.

Update on Gracie

Gracie turned two on friday!! We spent the weekend in saint george and Zions National Park. She is full of sass and loves her sister more than anything in this world. She wakes up every morning and ask for her. She is speaking soooooo much. She is starting to repeat sentences. She like to hide things and then ask me "where did it go?" She loves saying her colors and counting. She can repeat any word now and is a smart little thing. She loves to sing and dance, she will sing at the top of her lungs while dancing around the room. She always sings at church and loves nursery. Her favorite thing right now is jumping on the tramp and doing whatever grandpa or grandma is doing. She is currently in swim lessons and has been for a few weeks. We love her swim instructor and are so thankful she is patient haha

Update on us all and things I want to remember

Gracie loves Hadlie so so much . She kisses her head, hands, feet, really anything I let her touch multiple times a day haha Being a new mom of two has been easier than I thought, I was so nervous but feel blessed with much needed strength. Chase is almost done with his first semester of his Masters and will graduate in December. He works so dang hard and we couldn't be more proud of him. We have Hadlie's blessing this weekend and a few more trips this summer.

May 9:

Contraction started Saturday night around 9:00 pm. Right when they started they were 10 minutes apart. They weren't painful and we were watching a movie so I pretty much just ignored them and was going in and out of sleep. 10:00 pm came around and Chase asked if I was still having them, my doctor told me to come in after an hour of 10 minute contractions or 30 minutes of 5 minute apart contractions. But I told him they weren't painful enough so I didn't want to go in. Well right when 10:00 pm hit they started 7 minutes apart but weren't painful again. At 10:30 Chase said he was going to take a shower just in case I wanted to go in this evening, he has been painting and helping my parents at their new home. At this point I got up and was walking around the room trying to prove they weren't real and would disappear once I got up. But the opposite happened, they started going into my back but still weren't painful. at 11:00 o'clock my dad told Chase and I to get to the hospital cause he wasn't about to have me go into labor in his living room. So I went downstairs changed my clothes, washed my face, brushed my teeth, hair and came up at 11:15 saying I was ready, I guess. We had a 45 minute drive to American Fork hospital and I just kept apologizing to Chase saying that we were wasting our time and sleep to get sent home when we got to the hospital. I just kept saying "it's not painful enough" haha.

May 10

We got to the hospital around midnight. I walked up to the counter and said "There is a chance I am in labor" the nurse looked at me like "Okay, We are going to send this chick home". They were really busy so someone finally came in and hooked me up around 12:20, they checked and sure enough the contractions were real! I was at a 2.5, 100% effaced, and my cervix had come forward to anterior. They told me they would come back in an hour to check and then call my doctor. I had contractions 5 minutes apart at this point but still no discomfort. They came back around 1:30 and said "Well your a 4.5!" I knew my doctor was going to keep me and I got really excited! They came back around 1:45 and told me my doctor said go ahead and admit me. I told them I didn't want an epidural, so the nurse said she would come back when a room was clean and that she wasn't in a hurry if I didn't want an epidural. She came back around 2:15 and we walked to our room. I walked around the room and told Chase to try to sleep. At this point when I was up and walking I couldn't even feel the contractions so I got discouraged. My nurse came in around 2:30 and  told me it was hospital policy that they needed to monitor the baby 20 minutes. So I laid down and she hooked me up, she also checked me and sure enough I was still a 4.5. As I laid there I knew I was going to be stuck at a 4.5 for a while. I started feeling the tiredness now that I was confined to the bed and I could feel the contractions again but they still didn't hurt!! Around 3:00 I unhooked myself and walked eagerly around the room to try to make the contractions worse but I couldn't help but think that I wasn't progressing and maybe I should just get some sleep. I got in the bath for a few minutes and told Chase to tell the nurse I wanted the epidural. My mom showed up around 3:30 and the nurse came in to let me know that two people asked for the epidural right when I did and she told the doctor to do them first because I was still up and smiling holding normal conversations. The nurse didn't check me at this point but if she would have, we would have discovered I was actually at a 10! I had heard that it was so painful from a 7 to a 10 so it didn't even cross my mind I could be at a 10. My mom told me that I probably was stuck because it always got painful for her at a 6. I sat down on the couch where Chase was sitting around 3:45 and suddenly had all this cramping in my back I asked him to massage it out. My mom asked the nurse about the epidural and she said the doctor had something go wrong with one patient so it would be another ten minutes. At a little past 4 AM I was still sitting next to Chase when I felt SO MUCH PRESSURE. I yelled go get the nurse she is coming out, I didn't want to stand up so I waited as Chase sprinted into the hallway and called for the nurse. I looked up and in came the nurse and, of course, the man with the drugs. The doctor and Chase helped me to the bed, where I rolled onto my right side. The doctor said he could give my a spinal tap the would work instantly but I would need to sit up. The nurse said well lets check you first, now keep in mind here we are all thinking I was at a 4.5 and was probably starting to dilate more and that I am a big wuss, With a shocked look the nurse said "Um you are complete, 10 cm, +2". I was shocked. I was like then I don't need the epuidural. The nurse, Sara is her name, to have another nurse call the on call doctor and my doctor. She told me to breath deep because another contraction was coming. Sure enough the contraction came and I felt here head literally coming out. Still on my side the nurse lifted my left leg, the water sac was bulging out! (my water never broke on it's own) next thing I heard was "Oh her head is out and still in the sac" I felt a gush of water (the nurse had to break it with her fingers) and her body slid out. They told me because I didn't have an epidural and sat at a 10 for at least 30-45 minutes my contractions actually pushed her out for me! My mom said it was the weirdest thing to see her head in the sac.

So about two hours of labor and no pushing sweet Hadlie came into this world. I won't lie, Hadlie coming out on her own freaked me out, I kept saying I didn't know that could happen haha They told me it's VERY rare and they even have a name for it but I can't remember. The nurses did deliver her because it happened so fast. She was perfectly healthy and came out screaming. It was really strange to just sit there after words, I felt completely normal, my stomach was flat and I was just sitting there haha We both were doing so well after the 24 hour period we just headed home Monday morning. She is the worlds best baby just like Gracie was. She doesn't cry, unless we give her a bath or get her naked. She is already on a schedule and wakes up twice during the night to eat, she just grunts and eats her hand mittens until I am awake enough to pick her up. She reminds me so so so much of Gracie in looks and things she does. She sleeps with both hands on her face, never cries, and so much more! She now weighs 6lbs 5 ozs and will hopefully be back up to her birth weight soon. Gracie is adjusting but loves little Hadlie. Having a second baby is a beautiful blessing and I can't wait to see Gracie and her grow together. I can now cross a natural labor off my bucket list and feel blessed to have had such an easy experience. I would highly recommend to anyone on having a natural labor, number one you feel awesome after, number two pushing is so easy and natural because the contractions are pretty much doing the work, and number three it's not that bad. I really believe all the working out I did while pregnant made it so much easier. I worked out everyday from week 18 and that made all the difference.

Bye bye college.. you won't be missed!

So our lives got a little more than crazy for a quick second there and I haven't kept up with blogging or journal writing..fail. But guess what?! I graduated from college this past week and so now I'm going to be a writing fool (probably not but maybe). I took all my finals a week early just in case Hadlie decided she wanted to come the week of finals. So as of Wednesday  I am a college graduate in Finance. Chase will be done Tuesday and we will walk Friday at graduation! We have been married almost three years, "suffered" ;) 3 wrestling seasons, had Gracie, got pregnant again, moved six times (yupp count em')--all while taking at least 15 credit hours a semester in college. It hasn't been easy and I threatened multiple times that I was going to drop out haha but as I walked out of the testing center on Wednesday I couldn't help but cry tears of joy and true accomplishment. I may not be working or using my degree in the work force but what a blessing it is for our home and myself. We moved from Orem on Thursday (this was the happiest moment of my life) never to return. We will be staying with my parents until the December so that Chase can do his masters (boo right?) He has to have his Masters of Accounting before he starts his job and can get his CPA. We are squeezing his MACC in a tiny period so my parents want to help us so he doesn't have to work more than 20 hrs a week and can hopefully take the first test, of six, of the CPA in the fall. Let me just tell you my parents are saints, I don't think we will ever be able to repay them.

So catch up..

Hadlie- Is great! She is healthy and as far as we know doing great. I have had some bad chest pains and breathing problems the past week. Long story short I passed out and school and woke up in the ER after someone called an ambulance. So embarrassing. I just remember calling Chase to come get me because I couldn't drive because I literally couldn't breath. We think we figured it out and really the only way to tell is to have the baby, so fingers crossed. I am effaced almost 100%, dilated to a 2, and feeling contractions, A LOT. Weird thing is, I am not in a hurry to have this baby. Now that I am finally done with school I want some time to be with Gracie. My doctor was surprised I was at a two on Friday, with Gracie I was at a 1 and 60% effaced and almost instantly went into labor. So I guess we are just on baby watch now!

Gracie- Gracie is almost 22 months and honestly she gets cuter by the day. She also gets sassier.. haha She threw her first tantrum the other day when Chase and I took her outside for a walk. It threw us off so much we just started laughing haha She is learning every day and has been in Heaven since staying with my parents. Since she is the only grandchild-- she is rotten to the core because she is so spoiled. Having a sibling is going to do her some good. Her best friend is grandpa, she follows him all over the house, gives him the most love, and cries so hard if he leaves without her. Needless to say he is wrapped around her little finger.

We are alive and great! We feel so blessed to have made it alive through school and can't wait to see whats ahead for our little family.

She was dead asleep when we went to get my little sister to take her to lunch and stayed sitting up asleep like this the whole time haha

have fun at school daddy!
